Publix is beefing up its Pub sub menu.
The grocery chain has added new brisket sandwich and sub options to its deli menu, according to an April 16 news release.
The Florida-based supermarket has offered deli sandwiches, nicknamed Pub subs, for decades.
While its chicken tender Pub sub has garnered a cult-like following, Publix has expansive sandwich offerings, from turkey, ham and roast beef to meatball and buffalo chicken sub options.
Now, brisket has entered the chat.
“As we looked for the next right protein to build on that legacy, brisket stood out,” Publix Category Manager John Godke said in the release. “During product testing panels, a Texas-based supplier well known for its smokehouse delivered the quality and consistency we were looking for. They helped bring this brisket experience to life.”
