2028 four-star wide receiver Bubba Brown is coming off a productive sophomore season as he registered 28 receptions for 518 yards and five touchdowns while also putting up 156 yards and four touchdowns on the ground on 24 carries. Brown would log one interception on defense as well, plus he handled punt return duties.
He did this while playing at Lowndes High School in Valdosta, Georgia. However, he transferred to Florida State University High School in Tallahassee ahead of his junior campaign, which is where he began his high school journey on the gridiron. The FSU Seminoles have upped their efforts since he’s been back home, and they want him to play multiple sports as he’s coming off a season in which he averaged 13.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.3 steals on the basketball court.
“Coming back home, they definitely did a better job just coming back, stating to recruit me harder. They talk to me every day, basketball and football, so it just feels good,” Brown told Noles247.
Brown is the nation’s No. 140 overall prospect and the No. 20 wide receiver in 247Sports composite rankings. He’s also the No. 18 prospect in Florida.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder has a plethora of schools that he wants to visit during the fall. They include the Texas Longhorns, Florida Gators, Alabama Crimson Tide, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Georgia Bulldogs, Tennessee Volunteers, Auburn Tigers, and Florida State.
A huge reason why Brown wants to see the Seminoles is the relationship that he’s built with offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Tim Harris Jr. over the last several months.
“Tim Harris reaches out a lot, making sure I’m mentally good outside of football,” Brown said. “Like I said, he wants me to come because I’m right here in the backyard, so he’s not wasting no time or playing around with it.”
FSU certainly needs to keep as much blue-chip local talent as they can in Tallahassee. This makes Brown a big target for the program in the 2028 cycle along with four-star cornerback Izayah Vickers, who also attends Florida State University High School.
