President Donald Trump turned 80 years old on Sunday, June 14, 2026 — but he’s not the only one celebrating that milestone this year.
The billionaire-former reality TV star-turned-commander-in-chief has led quite a life, in Hollywood and Capitol Hill.
And like Trump’s 79th birthday, his 80th was a nationwide affair.
On June 14, 2025, the Trump administration organized a military parade in Washington, D.C., celebrating the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army and his birthday. For June 14, 2026, a UFC event on the White House South Lawn headlined Trump’s 80th birthday celebration.
Both events, however, have drawn much criticism: In 2025, there were more than 1,000 nationwide “No Kings,” “anti-Trump birthday” protests, with 80 in Florida and some down the road from his private club, Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach.
In 2026, Trump, the 45th and 47th U.S. president, saw a “No Kings” protest on his birthday in conjunction with the UFC event. However, it looked a lot different.
“Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First Amendment” was on Sunday, June 14, a live 90-minute program to counter Trump’s 80th birthday celebrations and the UFC event at the White House.

Days after his 80th birthday, former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama hosted a grand opening ceremony − complete with a star-studded celebrity lineup − for his presidential library in Chicago, Illinois. The red carpet event, held June 18, 2026, just before the Juneteenth federal holiday, was attended by two members mentioned in the “celebrating an 80th birthday in 2026” list below.

After Trump’s 80th birthday, UFC fight at White House, Obama center opens with former presidents attending
None of the living former presidents attended Trump’s 80th birthday celebration, UFC Freedom 250 fight on June 14, 2026, at the White House in Washington, D.C. However, they did attend former President Barack Obama’s grand opening ceremony for the Obama Presidential Center on Thursday, June 18, 2026 − and they brought their spouses. Two of the presidents on the list below, like Trump, turn 80 this summer.
