Legoland Resorts across the world are hosting a brand-new family-friendly festival that incorporates a popular video game.
Lego Festival runs through June 8 at the Winter Haven theme park. It includes five different zones with distinct, interactive themes.
Arguably the most popular of the zones: the Gaming Zone featuring Fortnite. The popular online video game was released in 2017 and has millions of participants.
“It’s time to power up your play and let imaginations run wild by taking part in our first ever Lego Festival,” said Emily Stadelman, Global Brand Director for Legoland Resorts. “We’re so excited to be joining other Legoland Resorts across the world to create this ultimate brick building experience, where thousands of kids and their parents will come together to celebrate play. From dancing, rocking and now gaming with Lego Fortnite we can’t wait to help families create memorable moments together.”
What are the five zones at Lego Festival?
Gaming Zone: Fortnite fans will find a life-size Lego model of fan favorite, Cuddle Team Leader. The creation is made from more than 21,000 bricks and took master model builders more than 75 hours to make. Guests also will be able to create their own Fortnite Lego creations and also meet the Lego Fortnite character Adventure Peely.
Music Zone: Rock out during a Lego Battle of the Bands show.
Dance Zone: Guests can show off their moves at the DJ GoodVibes Dance Party.
Creative Zone: A Lego master model builder will virtually lead Lego builders to create their own minifigure.
Chill Out Zone: After all the activity, chill out in this Lego garden. This area is designed for preschoolers who can build their own Duplo creations.
