The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in Lehigh Acres.
A little after noon on Aug. 30, through a post on X, the office confirmed an active investigation at the 700 block of Alabama Road.
The post stated that the “scene is contained and there is no immediate threat to the public at this time,” with updates to follow.
In a follow-up post about an hour later, the office shared that its Major Crimes Unit was working the scene, conducting interviews and gathering facts.
