Junior Ryder Cup hit with major schedule change due to forecast of inclement weather

Golf’s best young players will no longer play Bethpage Black Course this week at the 13th Junior Ryder Cup.

Ryder Cup officials announced on Wednesday, Sept. 24 that all singles matches will be played at the historic Nassau Country Club in Glen Cove, New York rather than Bethpage Black due to a forecast of inclement weather on Thursday.

The Junior Ryder Cup was originally scheduled to finish play Thursday with singles matches on the famed public golf course. Foursomes and four-ball were held at Nassau Country Club on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Farmingdale, New York, home to Bethpage Black, is currently forecast to experience rain and thunderstorms on Thursday.

Team USA led Team Europe 6.5-5.5 after the first day of the Junior Ryder Cup.

The 2025 Ryder Cup will begin at Bethpage Black on Friday, Sept. 26.
