Jalen Ramsey is literally counting down the days until the Dolphins can trade him

Any hope of reconciliation between the Miami Dolphins and cornerback Jalen Ramsey seems a lost cause at this point.

More than a month since Dolphins general manager Chris Grier announced at a press conference that the two sides planned to eventually split via a trade, defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver confirmed last week that’s still the plan. The delay, it seems, is that the Dolphins have the opportunity to save a significant portion of salary cap space in the 2025 season by waiting until June or July to trade Ramsey.

The end of May can’t come soon enough for Ramsey, who seemingly began a countdown to June 1 on his social media Tuesday.

Ramsey, 30, has been traded twice already in his NFL career. The former Jacksonville Jaguars top 10 draft pick was dealt to the Los Angeles Rams during the 2019 season and then traded to the Dolphins during the 2023 offseason.

The falling out with the Dolphins is reportedly due to Ramsey’s relationship with head coach Mike McDaniel becoming “irreparably broken.” On his social media, Ramsey wrote in April that he wanted to be surrounded by “people who desire GREATNESS” rather than “people who are okay with mediocre.”

Last week, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler highlighted the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Rams among the teams to watch in a Ramsey trade.
