The 2025 season was a breakout year for Jacksonville Jaguars’ wide receiver Parker Washington.
So, looking ahead to the 2026 season, what’s next for him?
“I haven’t started a season yet, knowing exactly what my opportunities are going to look like,” Washington said on Monday, “so hopefully that is the case when I step into a situation where I know what’s going on ready to help a team and be the best I can be for them.”
Washington also mentioned the importance of continuing to build his connection with quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
“I’m excited,” Washington said of next season. “Regardless of what next year looks like and what the opportunities look like, nothing changes for me. Just have to continue working. Continue to put my best foot forward, continue to be intentional about each day, and just whatever happens, happens.”
As the 2025 season progressed, Washington saw his opportunities increase. And from there, he became a go-to target for Lawrence, and by the end of the season, he was one of the most productive receivers in football.
Over the Jaguars’ final four games, which included Sunday’s wild-card game against Buffalo, Washington eclipsed the 100-yard receiving mark four times.
Along with his production, Washington’s ability to move around the formation and attack the middle and intermediate levels of the field makes him a very good fit for Liam Coen’s offense.
When it was all said and done, including the postseason, Washington finished with 954 receiving yards on 65 catches in 2025 with six touchdowns. Of his 65 receptions, 42 went for first downs.
