How long has LeQuint Allen been with the Jaguars?
Allen was a late-round pick from the Jaguars in the 2025 NFL Draft, making 2026 his sophomore year.
Recapping LeQuint Allen’s 2025 season
Allen had a rotational role in the running back room in 2025, behind star RB Travis Etienne and fellow rookie Bhayshul Tuten. His biggest contribution was on passing downs, where he excelled. Allen received the second-highest pass-blocking grade by PFF’s metrics among all running backs in the league.
He carried the ball 24 times for 97 yards, and totaled 11 receptions for 63 yards. Not to be overlooked either, but Allen also played 157 special teams snaps across three different phases.
Looking ahead to 2026 for LeQuint Allen
The Jaguars lost Etienne to free agency, but head coach Liam Coen appears to be pivoting away from relying on one main RB1, and instead plans to utilize a heavier rotation with Allen, Tuten, and newcomer Chris Rodriguez all having roles on the offense. Allen is expected to have a larger role this year, which could include more pass-catching opportunities, and he has said he embraces the new look of the running back room.
“We have to move as one. We’re a unit. We need everyone. The coaches determine my role. I determine my effort and what I establish on the field when it’s time,” Allen said, adding, “I want to be prepared for this season. The train is leaving. We’re going toward a common goal. We’re going to dominate every opponent who comes our way because we’ve worked too hard.”
