The Jacksonville Jaguars will find out their specific schedule on May 14, along with the rest of the NFL. But for now, a few things are already clear: they will be playing two games in London, England, and those games will be against the Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans.
Fans already know who the Jaguars will be playing, albeit without specific dates, and Jacksonville’s strength of schedule falls in the middle of the pack among NFL teams. However, it has been revealed that the Jaguars will be among the teams which travel the most in 2026, landing in the top 10. And all those travel miles can make even an easy schedule more difficult.
Adam Schefter reported the number of air miles each team will travel through the 2026 season. This year, as opposed to last season, they don’t fall in the top five most-traveled teams, but they’re still in the top 10 overall, traveling 23,392 miles, which ranks as the eighth-most.
The fact that the Jaguars are traveling to London plays a big role in this outcome. Jacksonville is also on the road against Baltimore, Denver, Chicago, and New York.
On the one hand, this is obviously going to make the Jaguars’ schedule a little harder. Teams that travel more can be at a disadvantage, especially if they are on the road for an extended period of time. There is less time to rest and prepare between games when a team is constantly having to fly back and forth across the country. The one upside would be if these road trips are spread out across the season, as opposed to long travel stretches occurring all within a few weeks.
On the other hand, though, it’s worth noting that this is less traveling than the Jaguars had to contend with in 2025; last season, Jacksonville was the fourth-most traveled team, and that clearly didn’t hamper the Jags much. Liam Coen still turned the 4-13 team into 2025’s gritty, tough, 13-4 AFC South champion, which bodes well for what fans can expect in 2026.
