Jaguars announce roster move on OL after 2026 NFL draft

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced a roster move along the offensive line on the Monday after the NFL draft.

No additions or subtractions from the roster were made, but offensive lineman Kilian Zierer’s roster status was changed from active to exempt/international player.

What does this roster move mean for the Jaguars?

With Zierer now designated as the Jaguars’ International Pathway Player, he does not count towards the 90-man roster, as those players, as part of the development program, are exempt. This allows Jacksonville to carry 91 players on their offseason roster.

Zierer, a native of Munich, Germany, was signed to the Jaguars’ practice squad in October of the 2025 season, where he spent the remainder of the year.

Zierer spent time with Houston during the 2023 and 2024 seasons, and then with Cleveland, Atlanta, and San Francisco this season.

At the college level, Zierer played 1,152 snaps over two years at Auburn, which includes starting during his final 2022 season. Almost all of his snaps came at left tackle.
