Travelers can now fly nonstop between Jacksonville and Atlanta on Frontier Airlines.
To mark the new route, Frontier is offering introductory rates starting from $59, if purchased by June 25. These discounted flights are valid on select days of the week from June 27 to Nov. 19.
The Atlanta service, set to operate twice a week, is Frontier’s fourth nonstop destination from Jacksonville International Airport. The others are Philadelphia, Dallas and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
“We are redefining ultra-low cost air travel, providing more comfort and convenience without compromising the affordability we’re known for,” said Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design for Frontier Airlines.
High-interest routes: What destinations might the Jacksonville airport expand to?
The airport saw a record-breaking 7.6 million passengers in 2024 and is only continuing to grow. Earlier this year, JAX expanded service with its other airlines to Akron-Canton, Ohio; Austin, Texas; Des Moines, Iowa; Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Toronto, Canada.
Additionally, a new concourse with six gates and a new parking lot with about 2,000 spots are set to open at the end of 2026.
