Isa Torres says goodbye to FSU softball after entering transfer portal

Isa Torres has been one of the most beloved players in Florida State softball’s illustrious history. She was the face of the program, having led the Seminoles to their 20th ACC title this season.

Her career with the Seminoles came to an end on Monday as she announced that she was entering the transfer portal. She took to social media on Monday to thank Florida State and their fans for the past few years.

“Florida State has given me more than I could ever put into words,” she said. “From the moment I arrived in Tallahassee, I was welcomed by incredible coaches, teammates, support staff, and fans who helped shape me not only as a player, but as a person.”

Her hitting genius will sorely be missed. She hit an absurd .530 during the 2026 season, setting a new FSU record. With a .978 slugging percentage and tacking on 16 homers, 98 hits, 21 doubles, and seven triples as well, Torres was nearly automatic.

Torres’ final start came in the Tallahassee Regional final against UCF, where the Seminoles fell to the Knights 2-4 in a winner-take-all game. In her last game as a Seminole, she singled to right field to allow Kennedy Harp to score to keep FSU in the game.

For her efforts in 2026, Torres was named the D1Softball National Player of the Year, an NFCA First Team All-Region, and ACC Player of the Year. She was a three-time All-American.
