The pedestrian, identified as Timothy Hunt of Indialantic, suffered head injuries and was unresponsive but breathing as paramedics arrived to treat his injuries.

Police determined that Hunt was hit by a 2009 Toyota minivan driven by Tassilo Close, 78, of Dunlap, Tennessee. Investigators said that Hunt was crossing South Miramar Avenue at the crosswalk — equipped with flashing beacons to alert drivers to pedestrians — when he was struck.

No charges were filed. The investigation, however, remains ongoing as officers review evidence from the site..

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police at 321-723-7788.
