In-state CB can see himself playing at FSU

The Florida State Seminoles had 100 recruits in attendance for their win over the Alabama Crimson Tide. The new-look Seminoles put on a show for their targets, and several have taken notice.

One of those recruits is Jaden Carey, a 2027 four-star cornerback from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. They are working hard to add them to their recruiting class, and he was impressed with what he saw in the game.

“That game was something special,” Carey told Marcus Benjamin of Rivals. “Their defense was flying around and making plays. It was a great environment to be in and definitely a place I can see myself playing in.”

Carey is ranked as the No. 344 overall player and No. 34 cornerback in the Rivals’ industry ranking. The 6-foot, 165-pounder is also the No. 40 player from Florida.

He had a strong sophomore season with St. Thomas Aquinas, helping them go 12-3 and win the state championship. He finished the season with 17 tackles, three interceptions, and six pass breakups in 12 games, per MaxPreps.

The Seminoles already have four commitments in their 2027 recruiting class, including three in the secondary in four-stars Mekhi Williams and Bryce Williams and three-star Jemari Foreman. They are far from done in the secondary, and Carey is a player to monitor moving forward.
