The Florida State Seminoles already have three-star tight end Connor Winn in their 2027 recruiting class, but they are working to add a second tight end to the class. One of their targets is Trae Proctor, who is from Miami, Florida.
The Seminoles entered the race for him back in April when they offered him a scholarship. They have some competition for the 6-foot-6, 215-pounder with the Miami Hurricanes and Florida Gators also recruiting him well, he told Marcus Benjamin of Rivals.
One of the reasons FSU is in a good place for him is the work of head coach Mike Norvell and tight ends coach Chris Thomsen.
“Just the frequent reaching out from Coach Norvell and Coach Thompson, they reach out a lot,” he said. He also revealed that he will be in Tallahassee for their game against the Virginia Tech Hokies on Nov. 15.
The Seminoles could have one advantage in their pursuit of Proctor, who plays for Norland High School. That is the same school that freshmen defensive linemen Mandrell and Darryll Desir attended before signing with FSU in the 2025 recruiting cycle.
