The Florida Gators get their turn at the podium at the 2025 SEC media days in Atlanta on Wednesday afternoon. Coach Billy Napier, along with three of his top players, will be featured among those from the other 15 member schools during this week’s extravaganza.
The headliner of the group is sophomore quarterback DJ Lagway, whose presence under center helped the Orange and Blue earn its first winning season in four years while leading the team to its first bowl game victory since 2019. Also included in the group is the man who stands in front of Lagway on each offensive play — redshirt senior center Jake Slaughter.
Finally, there is redshirt senior defensive tackle Caleb Banks, who represents the other side of the line of scrimmage among the group in Atlanta. This triumvirate of leaders will field questions from the media, providing the answers to questions that are burning in the minds of the fanbase.

2025 Football SEC Media Days details
The 2025 SEC Football Kickoff Media Days will be held from Monday, July 14, to Thursday, July 17, at the Omni Atlanta Hotel at Centennial Park and The College Football Hall of Fame.
This summer marks the third time since 2018 that Atlanta has hosted the SEC’s preseason media event; Dallas, Nashville and Atlanta have served as hosts the previous three years.
SEC Network will once again bring the four-day event to a national audience. The extravaganza is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. ET on Monday, with the SEC Network providing coverage of the four-day event.
