The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is looking for volunteer ushers for its coming season in West Palm Beach.
The venue at 701 Okeechobee Blvd. relies on more than 400 volunteers who donate their time to help attendees of the many events held throughout each season, the Kravis Center said in an announcement about the open usher positions.
“While many volunteers have been with us since opening night, we are now seeking applicants to join the ranks and become an integral part of this vibrant theatre,” said Karole Cooney, the Kravis Center’s volunteer manager.
To become a volunteer usher, candidates must complete a training course to learn about the Kravis Center’s operations, such as emergency procedures, seating protocol and customer service, the venue said.
The next volunteer orientation sessions for the 2026-27 season will be at 6 p.m. Aug. 3, noon Aug. 8 and 6 p.m. Sept. 3 at the Kravis Center’s Persson Hall.
Those interested in ushering can complete an online application available at Kravis.org/Volunteer.
More information is available by emailing Cooney at cooney@kravis.org, or Glenora Florence at florence@kravis.org.
