MIAMI GARDENS ― The Miami Dolphins drafted offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor of Alabama with the 12th pick and cornerback Chris Johnson of San Diego State with the 27th pick in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
But this team has a slew of needs as general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan works on one of the most inexperienced and thinnest rosters in the NFL.
On Day 2 of the NFL Draft, which starts at 7 p.m., the Dolphins are slated to have one pick in Round 2 (43rd overall) and three picks in Round 3 (75th, 87th and 94th).

Here are some of the best available players after Round 1:
Best players available to Miami Dolphins on Day 2 of NFL Draft
CB Jermod McCoy, Tennessee
Why? McCoy missed last season with a torn ACL and reportedly there is concern about a degenerative knee issue. But when on the field, McCoy is a speedy playmaker.
S Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, Toledo
Why? Big energy. Big plays. Big hits. Fluid. Aggressive.
WR Denzel Boston, Washington
Why? Denzel Boston has a big frame and is a reliable target. This is a physical player who believe the ball is his.
CB Colton Hood, Tennessee
Why? Hood is a complete and reliable player. Hood is tough and consistent.
Edge Zion Young, Missouri
Why? Power. Nasty temperament. A solid low-ceiling pick.
Edge R Mason Thomas, Oklahoma
Why? Physical complement to Chop Robinson at edge. High motor. Competitive. Relentless.
CB Brandon Cisse, South Carolina
Why? Fast, fluid, outside corner prospect with room to grow. Not a finished product.
DT Kayden McDonald, Ohio State
Why? The Dolphins could use another massive man in the trenches to help stop the run. McDonald is a violent wrecking ball.
CB Avieon Terrell, Clemson
Why? Terrell is only 5-foot-11 but he’s quick and feisty and energetic and aggressive.
DT Lee Hunter, Texas Tech
Why? Lee Hunter is a dominant run defender who will do the dirty work. Hunter also has high unpolished upside as a pass rusher.
LB Jacob Rodriguez, Texas Tech
Why? Jacob Rodriguez has instincts and speed and play-making ability. This is not Zach Thomas, but he plays with the fury of the former Dolphins and NFL legend.
DT Christen Miller, Georgia
Why? Christen Miller is a quick ball-chaser with a high ceiling. Miller is an oustanding athlete who could really shine with strong coaching.
S Treydan Stukes, Arizona
Why? Treydan Stukes has range and explosiveness and is a play-maker.
G Chase Bisontis, Texas A&M
Why? Chase Bisontis is an immediate starter at guard. He’s tough and balanced and strong. Bisontis is quick and a good fit for the zone scheme.
