Gulf Breeze’s Ruby Tuesday has permanently closed its restaurant at 3805 Gulf Breeze Parkway.

“After several years of serving this community and creating memories, Ruby Tuesday in Tiger Point will officially be closing its doors. While it is incredibly difficult to say goodbye, we want to take a moment to thank every guest, employee, family, and friend who has been part of our story over the years,” Ruby Tuesday’s statement read. “To our loyal guests, thank you for allowing us to be part of your birthdays, anniversaries, after-work dinners, family nights, first dates, celebrations, and everyday moments. So many memories were created around these tables. To our incredible staff, thank you for the hard work and dedication you brought every day. You helped make this place more than just a restaurant. You made it feel like home. While the doors may be closing, the memories made here will always remain. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the support you’ve all shown us throughout the years. It has been an honor serving this community. This is not just the closing of a restaurant. It is the closing of a chapter that meant so much to so many people.”

What is Ruby Tuesday?

Ruby Tuesday is a casual restaurant franchise that was founded in 1972 by Sandy Beall on the University of Tennessee campus. The early menu included “hamburgers shaped like softballs,” soup, salads and beer, Beall told the New York Times in a 2009 interview. The handcrafted burgers are still a popular choice today.

In the early years, he began opening a new Ruby Tuesday about every nine months. He eventually sold to Morrison Restaurants Inc. to speed up the process while remaining in charge of operations, and afterward added over 500 restaurants, The Times reported.

How many Ruby Tuesday restaurants are left?

By October 2020—when it filed for bankruptcy protection—Ruby Tuesday operated 750 restaurants, The Street reported. By late 2025, just 204 restaurants remained open, according to data company Scrape Hero.

Several other locations around the country reported closures in May, including a long-standing location in Jacksonville.

What’s on the Ruby Tuesday menu?

The menu breaks down into appetizers, ribs and steaks, chicken, seafood, pasta, burgers, garden bar and desserts.

The garden bar, a fancier salad bar, is a fan favorite among Ruby Tuesday customers, who can create their ideal salads with fresh garden greens, crisp vegetables, premium cheeses, toppings and the famed croutons.

Where is the next closest Ruby Tuesday?

While the Gulf Breeze Ruby Tuesday is no more, fans can still find their favorite menu items at the following locations in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties:
