Graduation day: Palm Beach Day Academy eighth-graders move on

Few traditions are as welcome and joyful as school graduations, and the Palm Beach Day Academy’s May 30 ceremony for its 43 eighth-graders was no exception.

For the Class of 2025 photo, the students gathered outside the Upper School at 241 Seaview Ave. with white roses in abundance — the girls in white dresses carrying single stems, the boys in blue jackets, white pants, and blue-and-gold striped ties bearing the roses in their lapels.

The students walked across Seaview Avenue from the campus gym to the auditorium for the graduation ceremony, where they were welcomed by Head of School Fanning Hearon and an eager crowd of friends and family to mark the educational milestone. Teacher Ryan Steege gave the keynote address, and awards were presented to several graduates.

Perhaps happiest of all were the members of the audience, who saw their loved ones mark an important achievement before heading out into the next phase of their educational journeys.
