PANAMA CITY BEACH — Mother’s Day has passed, which means now it’s time to start thinking about what to do for dad for Father’s Day, which this year is June 15.
Dads are little different, and you might choose to be a bit more adventurous with your activities. Here’s a look at some adventurous things to do with dad in Bay County:
Panama City Beach Skate Park
The newly opened skate park at Frank Brown Park is one option. Grab a board and take dad for an adventure.
Deep sea fishing
Catch a big fish with dad with help from companies such as Southern Dawn Charters, Jubilee Deep Sea Fishing and Hook Em’ Charters.
Shipwreck Island Waterpark
Shipwreck Island Waterpark is a fun water place in Bay County. Splash some water on your dad while enjoying the park’s themed rides and attractions.
Golfing
Enjoy peaceful winds, good exercise and beautiful grass by taking your dad golfing. There are numerous golf and putt-putt courses in Bay County such as Camp Creek Golf Couse, Pirates Island Adventure Golf, Origins Golf Club, and Bay Point Golf Club.
Hiking
Gayle’s Trails, Aaron Bassant Park, Conservation Park Trailhead, Frank Brown Park, and Alys Beach Nature Trail are all great places to hike and exercise with dad. Convince him to get off the couch, grab a bottle of water, and exercise with you.
Kickin’ It with Dad event
1900 W. 11th St., Panama City, 12-2 p.m. on June 14, which is the day before Father’s Day. This family friendly celebration is all about honoring the dads in our community with a fun-filled afternoon of kickball, basketball shooting contests and a classic cookout. Food and drinks are provided.
