FSU quarterback target sets commitment date

Florida State Seminoles quarterback target Andre Adams is ready to make his commitment. Adams announced Sunday on social media that he will make his commitment on Tuesday, April 14.

FSU is one of six finalists for Adams, who is also considering the Oregon Ducks, Colorado Buffaloes, Kentucky Wildcats, Virginia Tech Hokies, and Mississippi State Bulldogs. He was originally set to commit on April 11, but decided to postpone it.

Adams is from Antioch, Tennessee, and FSU extended him a scholarship offer on Feb. 9. He returned for an unofficial visit on March 30. That was his only visit to Tallahassee, and the Seminoles are not expected to receive his commitment on Tuesday.

He is ranked as the No. 173 overall player and No. 15 quarterback in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 8 player from Tennessee.

Adams had an excellent junior season at Antioch High School, leading them to a 10-2 record and a spot in the playoffs. He completed 71.0% of his passes for 3,418 yards, 35 touchdowns, and one interception in 11 games. He also carried the ball 100 times for 855 yards and 13 more touchdowns.

While the Seminoles are on the outside of Adams’ recruitment, they are in the mix for several other quarterbacks. One of their top targets is Wonderful Monds IV, who is from Vero Beach, Florida, and has been an FSU target for years.
