Florida State has done a good job adding offensive linemen through the transfer portal under Herb Hand, but they need to pick it up on the high school level. He’s swinging for the fences as the Seminoles have offered 2028 five-star offensive lineman Austin Attalah out of Orange Lutheran High School in San Bernardino, California.
“After a great conversation with @CoachHand I’m blessed to receive a scholarship offer to FLORIDA STATE!” Attalah announced on social media.
Attalah is the No. 27 recruit in the country and the No. 3 offensive tackle per 247Sports composite rankings. He’s also the state of California’s No. 1 prospect.
His offer list has exploded since the beginning of the year, taking his total to over 30. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Texas Longhorns, Alabama Crimson Tide, Ohio State Buckeyes, Miami Hurricanes, Oklahoma Sooners, Oregon Ducks, Penn State Nittany Lions, LSU Tigers, Florida Gators, Auburn Tigers, USC Trojans, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Michigan Wolverines, and plenty more have also offered Attalah in addition to FSU.
The 6-foot-7, 300-pounder has taken visits to see Texas, Texas Tech, and the California Bears. His current top three is Texas, Texas Tech, and USC. Florida State will certainly have to put forth a gallant effort to move up his list.
The best way to do that is to get Attalah in Tallahassee for a game visit. FSU has home games against the SMU Mustangs, Clemson Tigers, and Florida this season. So, there are several opportunities to get him on campus for a big game.
