It is extremely early in the process, but the Florida State Seminoles are pursuing several of the top players in the 2028 recruiting cycle. They just added a new name to that list, extending a scholarship offer to Giovanni Tuggle, a five-star safety from Winder, Georgia.
He announced the offer on social media, tagging safeties coach Evan Cooper in the post. “After a great conversation with (Evan Cooper) I’m blessed and beyond grateful to receive an offer from Florida state University.”
Tuggle is ranked as the No. 26 overall player and No. 3 safety in the 247Sports composite rankings. The 6-foot, 175-pounder is also ranked as the No. 3 player from Georgia.
The Seminoles are the 14th program to extend him a scholarship offer, joining the Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, Auburn Tigers, and more. He has not taken any visits to Tallahassee, something they will need to change.
He had an excellent sophomore seaosn for Winder-Barrow, helping them go 5-5. He recorded 39 tackles, six interceptions, and two pass breakups.
