The FSU baseball program has brought in numerous talented players under head coach Link Jarrett, and their 2027 recruiting class could be the best yet. They have commitments from 12 players, but the biggest star of the group is Chase Fuller, who is from Tallahassee.
Fuller, who led Lincoln to a state championship as a junior, was just named a five-star prospect by Baseball America, which has announced their top 150 high school players in 2027. The shortstop and pitcher is their No. 9 overall player, No. 6 shortstop, and No. 1 right-handed pitcher.
He is coming off a great 2026 season. He hit .327 in 35 games with one home run, nine doubles, one triple, and 14 RBI in 101 at-bats. He drew 35 walks and scored 32 times, finishing with a .514 on-base percentage and a .465 slugging percentage.
Fuller threw just 16 1/3 innings for Lincoln, but was nearly unhittable when he was on the mound. He posted a 1.75 ERA with eight saves. He allowed three runs on seven hits and 10 walks, striking out 19 batters.
He is the son of former FSU defensive back Corey Fuller, who is the director of football relations. Corey was a member of the 1993 National Championship team and made the All-ACC first team in 1994 before being taken in the second round of the 1995 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings.
