Known for fresh-roasted specialty coffees, pastries, and artisan ice cream, a Winter Park-based chain has launched its 10th Northeast Florida coffeehouse in Jacksonville.
Foxtail Coffee Co., featuring a Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream counter, recently opened at 1518 University Blvd. W., in the Winn-Dixie-anchored Lakewood Promenade retail center, next door to Scramblers.
The Lakewood location comes about eight months after Foxtail and Kelly’s put down roots in historic Murray Hill at 1195 Edgewood Ave. S.
Foxtail offers a selection of specialty coffees and espresso drinks, as well as freshly prepared breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and more.
Like Lakewood, many of its locations also offer artisan ice cream and sorbets from Orlando-based Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream. In addition, some offer a selection of beer and ciders from some of Florida’s craft brewers.
Founded in 2016, Foxtail Coffee Co. has at least 100 coffee shops throughout Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina and Virginia, according to the company website.
It lists 91 Florida stores open and at least six more coming soon.
Foxtail is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
