The Palm Beach resident will present his new book, “The Case for America.” The event will run 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the store, 329 Worth Ave.

Baier’s book examines whether the nation’s founding ideals can still unite the country nearly 250 years after the singing of the Declaration of Independence. The book offers a defense of the country’s history, values and national character through a mix of storytelling and analysis, according to advance information about Baier’s appearance.

Baier, who with his wife, Amy, owns a home on the North End, anchors Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” the network’s flagship political program. He is known for his coverage of national politics and has written several books on American history and leadership.

Guests at Raptis Rare Books can meet Baier and will receive a signed copy of the book. Tickets are required for entry and are available for purchase in advance for $41.74, including a service fee and tax, through eventbrite.com. For tickets, search “Bret Baier Book Signing at Raptis Rare Books” on the website. Each ticket purchased includes one copy of the book.

Space is limited at the event, which is part of the bookstore’s ongoing effort to host authors and connect readers with notable literary figures, co-owner Matthew Raptis said.

Raptis Rare Books, in Via Roma on the Avenue, offers a collection of rare, signed and first-edition books, as well as private library-design services.

Matthew and Adrienne Raptis opened the store in 2016 at 226 Worth Ave. before moving it down the street in 2021.
