Former FSU running back signs with AFC South team

Former Florida State Seminoles running back Roydell Williams has signed with the Indianapolis Colts, the team announced on Friday.

Williams, who spent two seasons at FSU, went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft. He is set to provide depth for the Colts during training camp, giving him a path to making their roster or practice squad. He accepted an invitation to the Tennessee Titans rookie minicamp earlier this offseason.

He finished his time as a Seminole with 99 yards and two touchdowns on 41 carries. He also caught seven passes for 65 yards.

He played in 45 games for Alabama with two starts, carrying the ball 234 times for 1,165 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also caught 21 passes for 152 yards and two more touchdowns. He averaged just 4.6 yards per carry in his six years playing college football.
