For the ideal ‘I do’ – Pick one of these Marco, Naples restaurants

There’s a few things that come to mind when thinking of a marriage proposal: Flowers, candles, romance, and…. Chick-Fil-A?

A recent poll surveyed a few thousand Florida men to find out which fast food chain they believe would be the best spot for a marriage proposal. Coming in at No. 1 was none other than Chick-Fil-A.

While we’re not sure that any fast-food restaurant is the best spot for popping the question, there’s several Chick-Fil-A locations around town to test your chances. The newest location will be on Collier Boulevard just north of Interstate 75, exit 101. There’s no official opening date, but the fast casual restaurant is looking better every day.

If you’re looking for a more romantic restaurant to propose at, we have you covered. We’ve compiled a list of ultra-romantic local restaurants perfect to pop the question at as wedding season ramps up.

Sails Restaurant

Sails is one of our top picks for the best restaurant to propose at. Popular reservation platform OpenTable named Sails one of the top 100 most romantic restaurants in the country this year.

What makes it so romantic? We’ll let the reviews speak for themselves.

“This was such an amazing experience for me and my fiancé. The services was impeccable and extremely friendly every step of the way from when we arrived to taking our picture at the end in front of the entrance,” an anonymous OpenTable user wrote about Sails on March 15, 2025. “The food was top notch especially the dessert. I would highly recommend Sails for a romantic dinner.”

Between the chic decor, elegant atmosphere, and impeccable hospitality, Sails curates a memorable experience for diners that makes it a great place to propose.

Sale e Pepe ― Marco Beach Ocean Resort

OpenTable also included this Marco Island gem on its list of most romantic restaurants in the country this year. Sale e Pepe is a fine Italian dining spot that overlooks the Gulf at Marco Island Beach Resort.

Inside the restaurant diners are transported to the romance of Italy, surrounded by aged stone, marble floors, and hand-painted wall art. The menu highlights heirloom recipes, made with fresh Florida produce and seafood. To maintain the elevated romantic feel, a business casual dress code is enforced inside the formal dining room. A stunning view of the beach is the only thing that reminds patrons they’re in Southwest Florida.

Tigress Restaurant & Rooftop Bar

This restaurant gives you a view of the water without needing to be on a beach. Tigress’ outdoor rooftop terrace overlooks the Cocohatchee River in North Naples, giving diners a beautiful airy setting for a meal.

Tigress’ vibe is effortlessly cool, giving you an upscale experience without the pretentiousness. We think it’s a great spot for a proposal for the non-traditional couple.

Baleen

Baleen Naples offers diners beautiful beach views, spectacular sunsets, and delicious food. The restaurant is at La Playa Beach & Golf Resort on Gulf Shore Drive. If you’re planning to propose, reach out to Baleen to set up a private beach dinner. You won’t be disappointed!

The Turtle Club

The Turtle Club is a Naples classic that’s been standing strong since 1998. Through every hurricane, this beachfront restaurant has come back stronger each time.

Dine with your toes in the sand at sunset for the best romantic backdrop. Reservations can be hard to get, so plan far in advance if you want a table.

Brambles English Tea Room

Brambles is a gorgeous English tea room in downtown Naples. The tea room was established in 1995 and offers seating from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily.

Brambles was the runner-up location when my fiancé was scouting out proposal spots because of the beautiful corridor decorated with tropical plants outside the tea house. It’s the perfect setting for photos.

Afternoon tea and pastries before being proposed to with a beautiful ring? Sounds like a perfect day to me.
