Here’s what to know.

What happened in the Walgreens pharmacy shooting?

The shootings took place in the pharmacy area of the store, but details have not been released.

When first responders arrived on the scene and approached Asseff’s vehicle in the parking lot, they heard a single gunshot, police said. Attempts to save his life, with the assistance of Port Orange Fire Rescue, were unsuccessful, police said.

Initial reports suggested there were no other customers, or perhaps one, in the store during the incident. However, the POPD said Thursday morning that there were several customers in the store and in the parking lot at the time.

Where was the Walgreens pharmacy shooting?

The Walgreens is at 1625 Taylor Road in Port Orange, a city on the east coast of Florida, south of Daytona Beach.

Was anyone killed in the Florida Walgreens shooting?

Asseff was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two Walgreens employees were injured, but not fatally. Their identities are being withheld “pending “pending additional investigation,” the POPD said.
