Florida State offers in-state 2028 safety

Wednesday has been an extremely eventful day for 2028 safety Carlton Jackson III. He has gained three scholarship offers, and the Florida State Seminoles are one of them. Jackson also received offers from Baylor and Virginia Tech.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder has received offers from USF, Mississippi State, and Syracuse as well. Currently, Jackson doesn’t have a ranking on any major recruiting sites, and he attends West Boca Raton High School in Boca Raton, Florida.

Jackson is a highly respected athlete at West Boca Raton. He excels not only as a free safety, but Jackson also plays wide receiver for the Bulls. In 2024, Jackson was named to the Rising Stars All-South Florida Freshman Team.

FSU has four-star Mehki Williams and three-star Jemari Foreman committed at safety in the 2027 class, and they’re trending to regain elite prospect Jaylen Scott. Snagging a talent like Jackson would be a great start to the 2028 haul.

The Seminoles will now look to get Jackson on campus for his first visit.
