Florida State offers elite in-state 2028 offensive lineman

The FSU Seminoles had a bunch of prospects on campus Sunday for their Elite Camp. 2028 four-star offensive lineman Quinston Howard was one of them as he made the trip from St. Petersburg, Florida.

It was the second time this year that Howard has been to Florida State. He also took an unofficial visit in April, but when he left campus this time, he had a scholarship offer from the Seminoles.

“After competing at @FSUFootball elite camp. I am blessed to receive a D1 offer from Florida State University #GoNoles,” Howard said on social media.

Howard’s recruitment has taken off since the calendar switched to 2026, as schools from the ACC, SEC, and Big Ten have extended offers. The programs include the Louisville Cardinals, North Carolina Tar Heels, Arkansas Razorbacks, Kentucky Wildcats, Nebraska Cornhuskers, and Wisconsin Badgers.

Howard is 6-foot-5 and weighs 325 pounds with 36.5-inch arms and a 7-foot-2 wingspan. This is the prototype recruit for offensive line coach Herb Hand to be looking into.

Howard is the nation’s No. 324 prospect and the No. 31 offensive tackle per 247Sports composite rankings. He’s also listed as the state of Florida’s No. 49 recruit.
