Two Treasure Coast coffee shops are literally on the map to serve an exclusive raspberry Danish latte, whose recipe comes from a Minnesota cafe’s viral TikTok trend.
The Googan Coffee Shop’s two locations in Stuart began serving the special drink on April 10, and Rosalina’s Cafe and Bakery in Stuart began serving it in April.
The drink is the creation of Little Joy Coffee, which started a “DIY or Buy” TikTok video series to show it’s better to buy their best-selling recipes than make them at home, even if it’s cheaper — $8 vs. $2.46.
Florida coffee shops offer raspberry Danish latte
Little Joy owner Cody Larson told TCPalm he wants to show customers there’s more to making a latte than just mixing milk, sugar and espresso. Plus, Little Joy’s syrups, creams and foams are all homemade.
“This brings us to a flaw in the whole ‘DIY or Buy’ premise,” shop manager and TikTok host Serena Walker says in a video. “How are you supposed to buy this if you live a thousand miles away? Which is why we’re inviting any coffee shop to steal this drink and put it on their own menu.”
They created a map showing over 300 coffee shops in over 30 countries that want to put the latte on their menus. Little Joy also posted video and written instructions on how to make the latte at home to save money.
“For those of you who live a thousand miles away from your nearest Little Joy, hopefully you’ll be able to find a raspberry Danish latte near you soon,” Walker says in the video.
