Florida football lands commitment from 4-star WR Armani Strong for 2028 class

After securing a strong 2027 class under first-year coach Jon Sumrall, Florida football is already turning its focus to 2028.

The Florida Gators landed their first commitment from the 2028 class, getting four-star wide receiver Armani Strong from Chaminade-Madonna High in Hollywood, Florida to pledge to UF on June 28.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Strong is the 22nd rated receiver and 154th rated player nationally in the 2028 class, per 247Sports. He chose Florida over offers from Boston College, Colorado, Florida State and Georgia Tech.

Strong caught 39 passes for 532 yards and six TDs at Miami Norland as a sophomore before transferring to Chaminade-Madonna High, where he will play as a junior.

Sumrall and his staff have put together a solid recruiting class that currently ranks 10th nationally, per 247Sports, with one five-star recruit and nine four-star pledges.
