Florida basketball is continuing its pursuit of Montverde Academy guard Oneal Delancy as the program gets set to host the top-60 prospect for an official visit next month. Delancy is ranked the No. 53 overall prospect nationally according to 247Sports.
Delancy plays at the national powerhouse high-school program known for developing professional talent. Montverde is one of the premier prep basketball schools in the country, producing current NBA stars such as last season’s No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg, as well as Cade Cunningham, Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid.
Head coach Todd Golden is targeting elite high school recruits while also being active in the transfer portal. The Gators recent national success under Golden has helped the team gain traction with top-level prospects. With a roster already full of NBA prospects, Golden must balance recruiting, retention and long-term roster building.
The combo guard visits Gainesville on June 10.
