Florida basketball climbs again in USA Today Coaches Poll, AP Poll

In the final poll of the regular season, Florida basketball has climbed again in latest USA Today Coaches poll on Monday, March 9.

Florida (25-6, 14-2 SEC) moved from No. 5 to No. 4 this week.

The Gators, who extended their win streak to nine in a row, defeated Texas 84-71, and Arkansas 111-77 to clinch a share of the SEC title.

UF will play the opening round of the SEC tournament on Friday, March 13 (ESPN, 1 p.m. E.T.).

The SEC has three other teams ranked in the poll as it included Alabama at No. 15, Arkansas at No. 17 and Vanderbilt at No. 22, while Tennessee and Georgia received votes.

Where UF stands in AP poll and other metrics

The Gators also moved from No. 5 to No. 4 in this week’s AP poll.

In the NET rankings, Florida remained at No. 4.

In the latest KenPom and EvanMiya the Gators stayed at No. 4, while in Bart Torivick the Gators improved to No. 3.
