Florida basketball adds nonconference matchup vs TCU on Thanksgiving Day

Florida basketball’s non-conference schedule features a holiday challenge this upcoming season with the Gators facing TCU on Thanksgiving Day, the program announced on Thursday, Aug. 7.

The holiday game will serve as the opening Round of the Rady Children’s Invitational in San Diego. The game will air on FS1 at 3 p.m. ET. TCU finished last year with a 16-16 overall record.

UF will play either Providence or Wisconsin in a championship game or in a third-place game. Both of those games will air on Fox, with game times yet to be determined. Wisconsin went 27-10 last season, falling to BYU in the Round of 32, while Providence finished 12-20.

Florida will open its 2025-26 season on Nov. 3 against Arizona in Las Vegas as part of the Hall of Fame Series.
