After an eventful season, Florida A&M men’s basketball has its first NCAA transfer portal exits.
Shooting guard Anquan Boldin Jr. will look to play elsewhere after spending one season with the Rattlers, led by head coach Charlie Ward.
He averaged 5.8 points and 3.0 rebounds during the 2025-26 season, which saw FAMU reach the SWAC Tournament semifinals, its deepest playoff run since joining the league in 2021.
The 6-foot-4 junior from Delray Beach played in 18 games, starting five. Boldin’s best performance came on Nov. 17, 2025, when he led the Rattlers with 16 points in an 87-57 loss at the Georgia Bulldogs.
Boldin is the son of former Florida State Seminoles star wide receiver and National Football League Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion Anquan Boldin.
Boldin Jr. initially transferred to FAMU from the University of Buffalo during the summer of 2025.
Devere Palmer Jr., a junior forward for the Rattlers, has also entered the transfer portal after a one-year stint.
He appeared in four games, his last on Dec. 2, 2025. Palmer scored 7.8 points per game and averaged 3.5 rebounds and one assist.
