The No. 19 Florida State Seminoles are looking to bounce back from their first loss of the season after getting upset by the Virginia Cavaliers in double overtime on the road. They will be doing so with their toughest challenge yet, welcoming the No. 3 Miami Hurricanes to Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday.
The Seminoles are the underdogs in the game, and ESPN’s matchup predictor agrees, giving them just a 34.7% chance of beating the Hurricanes. While FSU is coming off a loss, Miami is fresh off a bye and has looked like one of the best teams in the country. One factor in FSU’s favor is that it will be Miami’s first road game of the season, and Doak Campbell Stadium should be an extremely hostile environment.
The Seminoles are now favored in eight of their nine remaining games, and will have a serious shot to make the College Football Playoff if they can rebound from the loss and continue to take care of business. Here are ESPN’s updated predictions for FSU’s remaining nine games on the schedule. ESPN runs 20,000 simulations for each game, and the chances are updated after each week.

Oct. 11: vs. Pittsburgh Panthers

Nov. 1: at Wake Forest Demon Deacons
