Elite QB decommits from Oklahoma, predicted to FSU

Florida State is looking to secure its quarterback for the 2026 class. Their efforts have shifted to four-star Jaden O’Neal, who visited the Seminoles last weekend. On Thursday night, FSU’s chances increased after O’Neal decommitted from the Oklahoma Sooners.

Steve Wiltfong of On3 thinks that the Seminoles have more than just a chance at landing O’Neal. He predicted on Friday morning that FSU will land the 6-foot-3, 215-pounder. This is the second prediction of O’Neal going to Florida State as Zach Blostein of Noles247 did the same a few days ago.

FSU hasn’t had the best luck with signal callers as of late. Four-star Tramell Jones Jr. decommitted from the 2025 class last November, and four-star Brady Smigiel did the same for the 2026 cycle in January.

The Seminoles have seen a surge in their recruiting rankings over the last few weeks. Snagging O’Neal would only bolster that, and also secure the most important position on the team.
