New York Giants signing another player John Harbaugh is familiar with

The New York Giants are signing linebacker Chandler Martin to a one-year contract, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Monday.

Martin spent his rookie season with the Baltimore Ravens under head coach John Harbaugh. The undrafted free agent out of Memphis appeared in three games in 2025, recording five combined tackles while primarily contributing on special teams. His season ended in Week 13 against the Cincinnati Bengals when he suffered a torn ACL.

After undergoing surgery and rehabilitating, Martin signed a two-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles in late March. The Eagles waived him in June. He has since been cleared to return to the field and is now reuniting with Harbaugh in New York.

The 23-year-old from Lithonia, Georgia, stands 6-foot and weighs 229 pounds. He began his college career at East Tennessee State before transferring to Memphis, where he earned first-team All-American Athletic Conference honors in both 2023 and 2024. In his first season with the Tigers, Martin led the team with 95 tackles and 17 tackles for loss.

The signing adds depth to the Giants’ linebacker group as the team continues assembling its roster under Harbaugh.
