As has been the case for the last few weeks, Florida State continued its impressive surge within the recruiting tanks on Thursday. Four-star wide receiver Jasen Lopez has made his pledge to FSU.
Lopez is the second receiver that has committed to FSU since Monday, along with four-star Devin Carter, who flipped from the Auburn Tigers. He’s the fifth commitment for the Seminoles since last week and 12th for the month of June. Lopez brings their total to 20 commitments for the 2026 cycle.
The 6-foot, 185-pounder is ranked as the No. 247 player in the country and the No. 41 wide receiver by On3’s industry rankings. Lopez is also the No. 35 prospect out of Florida.
Lopez has been consistent throughout his entire high school career. He registered 70 receptions for 1,275 yards and 13 touchdowns as a freshman. As a sophomore, Lopez racked up 73 catches for 1,222 yards and 16 scores. Lopez set career highs in receptions (87) and yards (1,300) as a junior and scored 14 touchdowns.
Florida State has snagged Lopez along with the aforementioned Carter and Brandon Bennett over the last two weeks. Sprinkle in four-star commits Efrem White and Darryon Williams, the Seminoles have stockpiled talent at the receiver position for 2026.
Lopez is also a high-level basketball recruit with a scholarship offer from Luke Loucks and the basketball program as a point guard. He is expected to have a chance to play both sports in Tallahassee.
