The Miami Dolphins are enjoying their time off before training camp starts later this month at their Baptist Health Training Complex in Miami Gardens.
At this point in the calendar, we’re going through and looking at every position group and looking at each player and projecting a role for them in 2026.
Before players report back for camp, let’s take a look at Miami’s wide receiver room.
Jalen Tolbert
Tolbert, 27, played at South Alabama from 2017-21, earning All-Sun Belt honors twice and Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year in his final season. The Dallas Cowboys took him in the third round of the 2022 NFL draft, and he’s spent the last four years there as mostly a depth option. He signed with the Dolphins on a one-year contract this offseason.
Career Stats: 55 games (30 starts), 91 receptions for 1,093 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Projected Role: Starter
Tutu Atwell
Atwell, 26, played at Louisville from 2018-20, earning All-ACC honors twice before the Los Angeles Rams took him in the second round of the 2021 NFL draft. In his five seasons with the Rams, he was never higher than third on the depth chart with Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua, Davante Adams and Robert Woods above him at different points.
Career Stats: 64 games (27 starts), 105 receptions for 1,535 yards and 5 touchdowns
Projected Role: Starter
Malik Washington
Washington, 25, started his collegiate career at Northwestern, where he played from 2019-22, before transferring to Virginia for the 2023 season. He earned All-ACC honors and led the NCAA in receptions that one year with the Cavaliers. The Dolphins took him in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL draft, and he’s played a small role on offense and a bigger one on special teams.
Career Stats: 31 games (9 starts), 72 receptions for 540 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Projected Role: Starter
Caleb Douglas
Douglas, 22, began his college days at Florida, where he played from 2022-23, before transferring to Texas Tech for the final two years and earning All-Big 12 honors once with the Red Raiders. The Dolphins took him in the third round of this year’s draft, making him the first of the trio of wideouts they selected in 2026. At 6-foot-3 and 206 pounds, he ran a 4.39-second 40-yard dash at the combine.
College Stats: 39 games, 135 receptions for 2,031 yards and 16 touchdowns
Projected Role: Depth
Chris Bell
Bell, 22, spent the last four years at Louisville. He earned All-ACC honors this past season despite tearing his ACL later in the year. That injury cost him the opportunity to perform at the combine and played a big part in why Miami was able to take him in the third round of the 2026 NFL draft. It’s unknown how much he’ll participate in camp, if at all, while he recovers.
College Stats: 47 games, 151 receptions for 2,166 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Projected Role: Depth/PUP
Kevin Coleman Jr.
Coleman, 22, was well-traveled in college as he spent 2022 at Jackson State, 2023 at Louisville, 2024 at Mississippi State and 2025 at Missouri. Despite the frequent transfers, he still found a way to produce, which is a good sign that he can find some success in any system. The Dolphins took him in the fifth round of this year’s draft as the final of the trio that they selected.
College Stats: 51 games, 199 receptions for 2,536 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Projected Role: Depth
Terrace Marshall Jr.
Marshall, 26, played at LSU from 2018-20, winning a national championship in his second year with the Tigers. He was the third option on a team that also featured Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson. His performance in college led to the Carolina Panthers using a second-round pick on him in the 2021 NFL draft. However, after three years, the Panthers cut him. Over the last two years, he’s had stints with the Las Vegas Raiders, San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles.
Career Stats: 43 games (17 starts), 67 receptions for 808 yards and 1 touchdown.
Projected Role: Depth/Practice Squad
Theo Wease Jr.
Wease, 25, spent four years at Oklahoma from 2019-22 before transferring to Missouri for the final two years of his collegiate career. Miami signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2025. He spent most of his rookie season on the practice squad.
Career Stats: 3 games, 6 receptions for 139 yards and 1 touchdown.
Projected Role: Depth/Practice Squad
Tahj Washington
Washington, 25, began his college career at Memphis, but he transferred to USC in 2021 after two seasons. He went on to play three years with the Trojans before the Dolphins took him in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL draft. He missed his entire rookie season with an injury but returned to make a small impact in 2025.
Career Stats: 6 games, 3 receptions for 37 yards and 1 touchdown.
Projected Role: Depth/Practice Squad
Jalen Reagor
Reagor, 27, was a standout at TCU from 2017-19, earning All-Big 12 honors twice and Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year in 2017. His performance with the Horned Frogs led the Philadelphia Eagles to draft him in the first round in 2020. However, he was traded after two years. Since then, he’s played for the Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots and Los Angeles Chargers before signing with the Dolphins this offseason.
Career Stats: 63 games (27 starts), 85 receptions for 1,037 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Projected Role: Depth/Practice Squad
AJ Henning
Henning, 24, played at Michigan from 2020-22, earning All-Big Ten honors twice, before transferring to Northwestern, where he spent his final two seasons. He signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent last year and spent the year on the practice squad. He was also suspended during his rookie season for violating the league’s performance-enhancing substance policy.
College Stats: 57 games, 129 receptions for 1,219 yards and 8 touchdowns.
Projected Role: Practice Squad Candidate
Donaven McCulley
McCulley, 23, spent five years at Indiana before transferring to Michigan for the final year of his college career. At 6-foot-4 and 203 pounds, he ran a 4.77-second 40-yard dash, which isn’t overly impressive for a wide receiver. Miami signed him as an undrafted free agent this year.
College Stats: 44 games, 105 receptions for 1,422 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Projected Role: Practice Squad Candidate
