Dolphins making pair of changes to their front office after NFL draft

The Miami Dolphins added 13 new players in the 2026 NFL draft and have reportedly agreed to deals with several undrafted free agents soon after.

Now, as the Dolphins turn their attention to their offseason program and the preparation for their 2026 campaign, they’re making a pair of changes to their front office.

According to CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones, Miami has parted ways with senior personnel executive Champ Kelly, and CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz reported that the team is hiring Jacksonville Jaguars senior personnel executive Josh Scobey.

Kelly played at Kentucky from 1998-2001 before joining the UIF’s Lexington Horsemen, where he played, coached and served as general manager at different points. He entered the NFL with the Denver Broncos in 2007 and had stints with the Las Vegas Raiders and Chicago Bears before joining the Dolphins in 2025. After Chris Grier’s firing, he was named interim general manager.

Scobey was a sixth-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals in the 2002 NFL draft out of Kansas State. As a running back and returner, he also played for the Seattle Seahawks and Buffalo Bills during his time in the NFL and had a stint with the UFL’s Las Vegas Locomotives. He worked for the Arizona Cardinals from 2010-23 and joined the Jaguars in 2024.
