PANAMA CITY BEACH — The death of the man who fell from a condominium on Aug. 22 has been ruled a suicide.
According to Whit Majors, director of operations for the District 14th Medical Examiner’s Office, a 29-year-old man from Kentucky died on Aug. 22 after jumping from a balcony of Sunbird Condominiums, 9840 S. Thomas Drive in the Panama City Beach area.

A physician ruled the death a suicide at the time of completing a death certificate. An autopsy report still must be completed, and toxicology is not yet back to determine if drugs or alcohol were involved.
Past reports from the Panama City Beach Police Department note “patrol officers responded to a 911 call reporting that an individual had fallen from a balcony. Responding officers located the individual suffering from injuries consistent with a traumatic fall.”
Responders performed life-saving measures on the victim before he was taken to a local hospital, where he died.
