A new Daytona Beach grocery store opens on Friday, Feb. 27, with fanfare to include free totes, a long-stem rose and samples.
Sprouts Farmers Market has scheduled a ribbon-cutting event for 6:45 a.m. ahead of the 7 a.m. opening at the store, at 1591 N. Williamson Blvd., just south of LPGA Boulevard.
The Sprouts chain is the latest to pop up in an ever-changing grocery landscape across Volusia County. A new Aldi’s opened in Port Orange on Jan. 8, while Trader Joe’s opened its first Daytona store on Nov. 14. There’s no date set, but a new Publix is in the works for DeBary.
What deals and freebies are being offered at Daytona Sprouts?
As part of the grand opening, the Daytona Beach store will hand out 200 free reusable totes on both Friday and Saturday. Also Friday, the first 400 customers will receive a free long-stem rose courtesy of Falcon Farms Floral.
All three days, Feb. 27-March 1, the store will offer samples and a scavenger hunt from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Daytona Beach Sprouts is offering customers 20% off their purchases through Sunday, March 1, when they join the rewards program.
Where else does Sprouts operate in Florida?
The Arizona-based upscale grocery chain specializes in fresh, natural and organic food. It details Florida farms that supply its shelves, including Jim Rash, Inc., watermelons, H&A Farms blueberries and strawberries, and Duda Farm Fresh Foods’ sweet corn, celery, radishes and leafy greens.
Sprouts opened new locations in eight Florida cities in 2025: Largo, Boynton Beach, Poinciana, Lutz, Deerfield Beach, Ocala, Venice , and St. Petersburg.
After the Daytona Beach store opens, another is slated in Clermont on March 6 and New Smyrna Beach, which isn’t expected to open until summer 2027.
