Conservative investor Alexander Spellane arrested in Palm Beach

A California man with strong ties to conservative politics — and who was once billed as “America’s youngest gold expert” — has been arrested in Palm Beach on a felony charge of aggravated battery on a person who he knew or should have known was pregnant, according to jail records.

Alexander Spellane, 33, was arrested after Palm Beach Police say he pushed his pregnant girlfriend into the hallway from a guest room at The Breakers Palm Beach resort on South County Road.

Spellane was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail about 4:30 p.m. April 23, and released the following day on a $10,000 bond, jail records show.

Spellane is a gold and precious metals investor and trader who has positioned himself as a face for young conservatives. He hosted 15 episodes of “The Right Wing Voice” podcast, with the most recent installment posted in 2024 and featuring former New York City mayor and attorney for President Donald Trump Rudy Giuliani as the guest.

In March he was part of a main-stage panel at the Conservation Political Action Conference outside Dallas. Spellane’s Fisher Capital Group has been a top sponsor of Turning Point Action conferences, including the 2023 event in West Palm Beach.

According to an arrest report on the incident at The Breakers, Palm Beach Police were called to the resort about 11:10 a.m. on April 23, when a woman told police that Spellane pushed her into the hallway from the room where they were staying.

The woman told police that “she is currently 32 weeks pregnant with her boyfriend, Alexander Spellane’s child,” the report said. She and Spellane were arguing inside their room when “Spellane grabbed her from behind and forcibly pushed her out of the hotel room before slamming the door in front of her,” the arrest report said.

Spellane and the woman were staying at The Breakers after a charity event the previous night, the arrest report said. Spellane told officers that he and the woman were arguing throughout the morning because the woman did not want to get out of bed. The woman was upset, threw a coffee cup on the floor and “threatened to damage (Spellane’s) property,” the report said.

Spellane told police that because the woman is pregnant, he didn’t want to push her out of the way when she blocked him as he tried to get to the closet, but he eventually pushed her out of the room, the report said.

Security footage showed Spellane “holding (the woman) from behind and forcibly pushing her out of the hotel room into the hallway before shutting the door,” according to the arrest report.

“On April 23, a domestic incident in a guest room resulted in an arrest. There were no injuries, and all parties departed the hotel following the incident,” The Breakers said in a statement provided to the Daily News. “Out of respect for guest privacy, we have no further details to share.”

During Spellane’s first appearance before a Palm Beach County judge on April 24, he was ordered not to have contact with the woman, court records show. Spellane as of 1:30 p.m. April 27 had not provided a statement in reply to an emailed request from the Palm Beach Daily News.

Court records show that he is represented by a private attorney, whose name is not yet entered into the Palm Beach County clerk’s online system.

At March’s Conservative Political Action Conference, Spellane spoke on a panel titled “Show Me the Money” that also featured conservative radio host John Fredericks, Patriot Mobile CEO Glenn Story and rancher Frank Chapman, according to CPAC’s schedule.

“Spellane and his company, Fisher Capital, offer a conservative alternative to BlackRock,” CPAC posted on its social media channels after the panel.

The federal Commodity Futures Trading Commission in 2023 sued Spellane and two of his companies, Fisher Capital LLC and AMS Consulting Solutions LLC, which operate as Fisher Capital Group. The commission alleged that Spellane and his companies “engaged and continue to engage in a fraudulent scheme targeting a vulnerable population of mostly elderly and retirement-aged persons throughout the United States,” according to the complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

The commission in a news release alleged that Spellane pressured his victims and misled them by suggesting their retirement and investment strategies were not safe. Spellane and his companies have denied the allegations in federal court filings.

A 2023 blog post on the Fisher Capital website shared an article that set Spellane alongside fellow conservatives Mike Lindell, Roger Stone and Trump as fighting “the deep state.” It described that entity as comprising “a covert network of federal government members, notably within the FBI and CIA, collaborating with top-tier financial and industrial figures.”

A profile published in June 2025 on the website for the Warrior Network Agency — a talent and public relations firm that says it champions “talent that can shift culture and create lasting impact” — said Spellane quietly built a “business empire” from of his knowledge of precious metals markets.

“He may not be chasing headlines — but his name is one you’ll be hearing a lot more of in the years ahead,” the agency wrote in the article.
