District softball is officially under way.
With the postseason starting, local squads are making their bids to advance to the regional tournament.
While some teams are playing their final games of the year as they compete for district titles, others are merely beginning their playoff runs with hopes of bringing home a state title.
Here’s a look at the latest district tournament results from Palm Beach County.
Monday, April 27
7A-District 13 semifinals
Park Vista 12, Boca Raton 0
Angeline Mergen had three hits, including a triple, pacing the Cobras with three RBIs and three stolen bases. Sarah Hyland added three hits and two RBIs.
Mergen also pitched five innings of one-hit ball, striking out eight in the mercy-rule victory.
7A-District 8 semifinals
Wellington 15, John I. Leonard 0
Cataline Barconci hit a home run in the victory, continuing her power surge.
Jupiter 7, Palm Beach Central FF (0)
6A-District 13 quarterfinals
Olympic Heights 22, Piper 2
Mia Pyenson and Alexa Gleichenhaus each homered in the victory, accounting for seven RBIs between the power hitters.
6A-District 8 semifinals
Seminole Ridge 9, Martin County 0
Haven Berryhill was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, hitting one of four doubles the Hawks manage in the win. The senior also stole four bases.
Pitchers Zarah Lee and Cailee Sessions combined to face the minimum batter count.
3A-District 14 quarterfinals
Pompano Beach 13, American Heritage-Delray 2
Calvary Christian Academy 15, Somerset Canyons 11
2A-District 13 quarterfinals
Cardinal Newman 14, Lincoln Park Academy 1
Sydney Mahoney hit two doubles and a home run accounting for three RBIs in the victory.
Elle Perrotto also swiped three bases and allowed just one earned run against six strikeouts across four innings pitched.
