Cameron Young took last week off but remained atop the PGA Tour money list for a fourth week in a row.
But Scottie Scheffler is closing.
When Young won the Cadillac Championship on May 3 and took over the top spot, he was nearly $730,000 ahead of Scheffler. But after Scheffler finished solo third at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson on May 24 for a check of $710,700, he closed the gap on Young to less than $300,000 — $278,301 to be exact.
However, nothing will change this week among the top three earners, Young, Scheffler and Matt Fitzpatrick (who has nearly $11 million). The top player on the money list in the field is Akshay Bhatia, in seventh place with $6.3 million. If he wins the $1,782,000 first-place check at the Charles Schwab Challenge at the Colonial National Golf Club in Fort Worth, the best Bhatia can do is climb over Collin Morikawa, Jacob Bridgeman and Rory McIlroy for fourth place.
Also in the field at Colonial are No. 10 Ludvig Åberg, No. 16 Rickie Fowler, No. 18 Alex Smalley and No. 22 J.J. Spaun.
How far did Wyndham Clark move up?
Wyndham Clark won the CJ Cup Byron Nelson with a final round 60, his first victory since the 2023 U.S. Open. The $1,854,000 first-place check moved him from 78th on the money list to 31st, bringing his total to more than $2.8 million.
How big is the Millionaire’s Club?
When Clark signed for his winning scorecard, he officially became the 79th player on the PGA Tour this year to earn $1 million or more in on-course winnings. There were 82 during the same time in 2025.
There are 46 players with $2 million or more, 27 with $3 million or more, 19 with $4 million or more and 11 with $5 million or more, with 15 official-money events remaining.
Inflation and bigger purses aside, it’s only been 27 years since Tiger Woods became the first player to earn more than $5 million in one season, in 1999.
